carbohydrates and starches were fateening (pasta, potatoes, bread, sweets, rice and corn) : these foods literally make you fat.
sweets are probably the owrst, along with sugar-water combinations which can be anything from fruit juice to coca-cola.
why? because refined carbohydrates raise your insulin level!!!

ways to get started!!!
1. DON'T TRY TO LIMIT FAT
"eating high fat foods keeps you from feeling deprived" -Dr. Westman-
cheese, heavy cream, sour cream, cream cheese, mayonnise, butter and oil are all healthy parts of a low carb diet.
2. BE PICKY ABOUT VEGETABLES
starch(crab-heavy) vegetables - most of the ones that grow under ground. you can gave up to 4 cups daily of leafy greens like spinach and lettuce. limit brocolli, cauliflower, green peppers, okra to two cups per day.
3. EAT
don't let keeping yourself starving. eat when you're hungry and stop before you're full!!!
